In The Print: And . . . We're Back!

June 3, 2015
Hello, hello, hello, my bookish friends.  It's been quite some time, yes?  I'll have to apologize for my weeklong blog hiatus.  I know I have some explaining to do.

Maybe you're wondering, Julia, what the heck were you doing for an entire week?!  (If not reading and blogging?!)  Hey, even if you're not, I'll tell you.  Believe it or not, I manage to kick my butt into gear once in a blue moon and get out into the real world.

Well, this past week was the infamous FINALS WEEK.  And although I only had two finals to (attempt to) study for, the week was nonetheless . . . unpleasant.  And emphasis on attempt, as in actuality, my studying looked more like this:

(Plus about 100+ cups of coffee littering the floor.)

Hey, but the good news is I survived.  Today marked my last final (aka my freedom).  And now, yes, I'm glad to say it's official: IT'S SUMMER.

*cue ridiculously happy dancing*

And besides finals, there's a whole lot of other updating to do, so let's get to it.

1. Blog Makeover - Complete!

If you've been following the blog for a while, first of all, thank you, but second of all, you may have noticed something's different.  (I sure hope you did, anyway.)  Yes, exciting news: Peach Print has gotten a bit of a face lift in the past couple of days!

I have to say a massive thank you to Labina at LABINASTUDIO for the lovely template + all of her extremely incredible help.  I can't even begin to express how wonderful Labina is!  She always answers all of your questions and works hard to promptly fix possible issues that may arise.  If you're looking for some new blog gear, definitely make sure to stock up at her site.

2. Peach Print is now on Twitter!

So, yes, I've finally decided to create a Twitter account for the blog.

If you're a book blogger, book lover, or book-something, leave your username so I can follow you.  Let's connect!

3. I'm off to Kauai!

For the first time, I'll be heading off on multiple trips this summer.  The first trip (albeit a short one) will kick off the summer.  I'll be exploring the tropical terrain of Kauai, or the Garden Isle.  Kauai is geologically the oldest of the main Hawaiian Islands.  And though I live in Hawaii, I've only been to a few of the other islands myself, so I'm more than ecstatic for this mini vacation.  While I'm in Kauai, I'll be keeping the blog updated with daily "Kauai Coconut Diaries" posts, so look out for those!

Hmmm . . . and is that it?  I'll probably slap my forehead remembering a fourth immediately after hitting "publish" on this post, but for now, yes, those are all the updates I can offer.

Guys, I am SO ready for summer.

My dog is, too.

Buddy the Diva Doggie

SURVEY QUESTION: Who wore it better?

(Obviously Buddy.)

I'm a teen with a refined taste for good books and great writing, currently living in Honolulu, HI. I'm a reader. A dreamer. And an aspirant writer. One day I have hopes to travel the world, but for now, I'll settle with venturing through the written works I read.

  5. Your blog is just so cool and you're only like half a year old [less?] YOU ROCK OMG!

I live in snowy canada so while we do have nice weather, it's too urbanized to take fun tumblr pics. Whoops. I will be living through yours.

    1. Haha, thanks so much, Nova! I'm crazy picky about design-type things, so it's always difficult for me to settle on something.

I've never been to Canada myself so I would actually enjoy seeing those "too urbanized" pics. Please share!

  6. I love your new blog design, a blog makeover is sometimes the most satisfying thing to do. I think your holiday sounds awesome, although I have to say everything I know of Hawaii comes from Hawaii Five 0 so I'm convinced everything will be like that.

    1. Thank you, Becky! Yes, it's always nice to revamp the blog. :) And haha, Hawaii Five-0? I think I can say the islands are a bit less crime-ridden. LOL.
