Well, it's Sunday. Just one more beautiful day of the weekend before it's back to school and work.
I thought I'd give a quick update about what I'm up to and such. I've been meaning to write and post a couple of book reviews this weekend, but with my schedule at the moment, it doesn't look feasible. I'm glad to say, however, after tomorrow, a lot more free time will be opened in my schedule as my AP exams will be over. So look forward to new book posts!
Here's me very casually taking my own photo in the mirror outside. |
Yesterday after my piano lesson, my mother and I went to Ala Moana (the mall) for lunch and shopping. I suppose this has become something of our "usual Saturday ritual." Of course, the first store I had to hit up was . . . can you guess?
Yup, Barnes and Noble.
That wasn't a very hard trivia question, was it? I'm sure that's answer speaks for the majority of book lovers out there.
Anyways, like on many a Saturday, I picked out a new read to add to my bookshelf: 99 Days by Katie Cotugno. I've been hearing so much response from other book blogs that I just had to get my own copy to read. Though I was supposed to be studying yesterday, well . . . I'm sure you can see where this is going. Let's just say I'll be reviewing 99 Days in the days to follow.
And since I so often pick out a new read from the bookstore on Saturdays, I thought this could be something of a series on the blog: My Saturday Pick! Here's this week's:
99 Days by Katie Cotugno |
Ahh, this book is so pretty. I think I'm currently in love.
Well, have a great week, everyone! It's back to studying for me.
(Stop procrastinating, Julia!)
99 DAYS!!!! HEART EYES EMOJIS
ReplyDeleteHaha!! That was EXACTLY my reaction when I first saw the book in stores. The moment I got into the car after purchasing, I immediately got reading. Hence, I finished the entire book in a day and I'll be reviewing it sometime this week!
DeleteThanks for the comment, Nova!

ALA MOANA Barnes and Noble! The Kahala one was totally my spot until it closed. It was a sad sad day... I think I was actually home from college for winter break right before it closed. I've never seen a bookstore so empty.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I haven't read 99Days yet. I've seen tons of photos of it on Instagram though. It looks gorgeous! I look forward to hearing what you think of it.
Amy!! Are you from Oahu, too? If so, WELCOME. I haven't met anyone in the book blogosphere yet who's also from the islands, so this is super exciting.
DeleteIt's so, so sad that the Kahala Barnes and Noble closed up a couple years back. Like you, that was my spot! Now it takes so much more gas/time/effort to make the trip all the way into town for the one remaining bookstore . . . it sucks!
Thanks for the comment, Amy! I'll be posting the review soon. :)
